So let's fast forward a little.... I had been doing the handmade stuff for 2 years, during that time I went from working on my kitchen side to very quickly outgrowing the 'new' family home we not long moved in to. I needed my own work room, especially for the stock and machinery I had accumulated. So I put every penny of my profits in to savings & just 2 years later saved enough for a deposit on a new home. This had a whole downstairs room, perfect for my office space!
This is where I spent the next couple of years really expanding my product range. I invested in to sublimation and went in to mug making. This is where the change started to happen.... I had a customer ask of she could have a mug made with the quote 'do I look like a fucking people person? Fuck off twat'. I found it hilarious so of course I didn't resist. After I printed it, I posted it straight to my Facebook page... Well, everyone went nuts for them! It was getting shared in the thousands. Shortly after, Ladbible & Unilad contacted me and asked if they could share it across their social media platforms. I was delighted! This resulted in my first ever viral. I had orders coming through in the thousands each day. I had to buy more sublimation printers and presses just to keep up with the demand & I sold around 40,000 mugs in those next couple of months. In the end I had to get a large company to help me attack the demand because it was far too much for me to handle. It was the craziest time of my life! And I shit you not, the most hardest, stressful, traumatising time of my life too!
